Livery Barn Lantern in antique brass, 1-light clear chimney, clear glass. Size shown: 7"wide x 16"high, extends 7-1/2". Available in other finishes, sizes and glass, light cluster option. This Barn Lantern was used in shops, the livery barns and buildings of commerce. With a handle for portability, these lanterns were also placed by the front doors of residences. Employing candles or oil fonts, and aided in light by a mercury glass reflector, the 19th century farmers could carry this lantern with them to tend to their livestock.
