From bell lanterns to cage lanterns, in either iron or cast metals, hanging lanterns can add a dramatic affect to your two-story foyer, dining room table, kitchen island or outdoor porch area.

NOTE: MUST SHIP BY TRUCK. The acanthus leaf originated from carved ivory in Egypt in the 14th century. Leaf borders and scroll motifs were used extensively in the arts and architecture of ancient Greece and Rome. During the Italianate Victorian Period of Lighting (circa 1860 - 1885) the acanthus leaves were carved out of a flat surface by using a sharpened spoon.
