Verdi green finish is a varigated, greenish-blue patina that occurs on solid brass when an acid wash is applied. The patinas have rich, interesting hues that range in depth from dark black to a light teal. Sometimes the patinas are streaky. Sometimes they are blotchy. But as with any living finish the patina will blend and weather with age. The results are always beautiful. The look is timeless. Verdi green has been a popular choice for exterior lighting like post top fixtures and wall lanterns. But lately the Verdi green finish has caught the eye of interior designers as is well suited for hanging lanterns, inside or out.
Many designers are trending towards green cabinets in kitchens. All natural metals complement this choice. Kitchen faucets and drawer pulls are being replaced with exciting shades of brass fixtures and hardware. Hand-rubbed solid antique brass or Verdi green lanterns can be made with brass accents.
